Gobble Gobble!

I met up with this fun trio on a very chilly Thanksgiving morning last week! We got to try out a couple new spots. I thought for sure there would be no else around, so I was shocked to see another family having their portraits made, too! Anyway, each of these ladies was so photogenic and sweet and I had a great time with them while working up quite the appetite for some turkey!

You'd never know all of us were just about FREEZING!

Twice the Fun

Whew! These two little ladies definitely exemplify the word active! I thought I had my hands full with my boys being 2.5 years apart, but they've got nothing on these sisters separated only by 16 months!

Adorable girls, beautiful eyes, handmade clothes from Etsy and great parents... they've got it all...
What else can I say that isn't totally obvious?

Party of 12

I had so much fun getting to meet this family, which consisted of the parents, their 3 children and their families, and then the grand kids. Photographing larger groups are always a bit more challenging than your average session, but we managed to pull off several nice traditional family shots before the kids ran out of steam. Hey, when you're 1, 2, 3 and 5 years old, you have better things to do!

Each of the 3 siblings and their families...

And just including this because it was funny. The kick was totally in jest & no contact was made! You can't take life TOO seriously, right? :)

Thank you for choosing me to photograph your family this year. I hope you enjoy all of the images!

B-L-E-S-S-E-D and B-E-H-I-N-D!!!! I am so very blessed to be busy, but also so very behind on my blogging! So this post begins my attempt at catching up!

This is a larger post than normal, because I got to shoot cousins and their families. One was a prior client from in the spring (in case she looks familiar), and then her cutie 10 month old cousin whom she adores.

This series is too cute...

I think this is my favorite of him. He was such a happy and laid back baby. Mom and Dad are lucky!

Thanks again, guys! :)

It's raining, it's pouring...

... but you'd never know it! The weather was really yucky yesterday afternoon, and it was looking like we were going to have to reschedule. Luckily it held off for just a couple hours. You'd never know how blah the weather was looking at these.

Love it when a family dresses to coordinate but not matchy-matchy. Makes everything so much more interesting and fun. Ok, and the tutu and the girls' boots don't hurt either! Perfect for our urban setting. I can totally see this first one as a canvas gallery wrap.

Love this series. We've got her more serious look, but also her doe-eyed innocence, and then her smile. She was so sweet and such a great big sister, too.

And here's lil bro. Of course there are more of him, but I gotta draw the line somewhere! This is just a SNEAK! He has the prettiest hazel eyes. And I say hazel because they are green on the outside, then turn brown closer to his pupil.

Yet again, another fun couple shot...

And just another sweet family one.

Thanks, guys! So glad we didn't get rained out and that you were up for giving it a whirl with a sky full of ominous clouds! It was so fun to meet your family.

Pretty in Pink

Look at these dolls! Their mommy had them dressed up in the cutest hot pink tutus and black and white striped baby legs. Didn't hurt that they were pretty little girls even without the adorable outfits. They got stuck in traffic on the way to our session, so we worked fast and furious to capture all we could. We actually ended up with some beautiful golden evening light.

A big thank you to Grandma for helping to entertain the baby, too - we couldn't have pulled it off without her! Now I'll quit rambling...

Towards the end, we got some great shots of the 2 of them. I am always happy to do this for couples during our session. Funny because they were about the 5th couple in a row to ask me to get some shots of just them, even though the entire family was there. I love how these turned out...

Ok, so does this mommy remind you of anyone famous? I am thinking... hmmm... well email me and tell me your thoughts! She resembles... ???

Thanks again for the opportunity & I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

Sleeping Baby+Dog is 9 months now!

See the image on my blog header of the baby sleeping on the dog? Well, I was excited because this past weekend, I got to see him and his dog again. He is 9 months now. We tried several times to recreate the baby/dog photo, but to no avail. Being leash-free in a big open field is dog heaven and she just couldn't be persuaded... But we still got some great shots of K, his mom and dad.

This is about the most still she would be. They said she does great with him. I bet they're gonna be good pals.

Oh, they brought along his little green tractor he likes to ride. There is a small little cotton crop growing in this field, so we stuck him in the middle of it like he was really farming or something. I actually had to stop and think, "How do they get cotton off the plant these days?" That's bad, huh?

Thank you again for the opportunity to photograph your sweet family. It was great seeing you again and I can't wait till next time! :) More soon...

Little Munchkin

How cute is this little munchkin? He was the sweetest little thing with his full head of hair (at only 7 months!) and pretty blue eyes. He brought his sister and parents out for some pictures on Saturday morning. I love this first one... actually I really like all of these. Many more where they came from...

It was so nice to meet you all. We'd love to have you at ABF sometime - W306 is our room - 9:30, Sundays. I'll be in touch soon...
