Ceremony

As promised, here are images documenting the wedding ceremony. The ceremony was held at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe in downtown Dallas on Ross Avenue in the Arts District.

Arriving at the church, everyone taking care of final touches and waiting to begin:

The bride walked down the aisle with both her mom and dad:

One of my favorite images from the day:

These two were big grins for much of the day:

Told ya this church was a total knockout!

The bride was meticulous in her planning and their ceremony included many personal touches with family members.

Wanna talk about some wind? It had to be one of the windiest days EVER in Dallas. So I had to show off this one:

And lastly, these are pretty funny. I don't think I've ever had any images shot of me while "on the job". You sure are sneaky, Meagan! And yes I am standing on a step ladder I had to hide behind some plants in the side wings of the sanctuary. Being a little on the short side wasn't all that helpful for this type of photography. Maybe I'm better suited to working with fellow shorties, a.k.a. kids? Haha.

And I definitely wasn't the only one there with the camera. Check out the paparazzi!

Ok, I've got at least one more post planned to show off the wedding: post ceremony and reception, so check back soon to view the rest of the story.

Eyes

Now... I've seen some pretty eyes from behind the lens of my camera, but these might take the cake.

I posted one b&w image of this brother and sister duo a few posts back. Here are more from their session in the studio:

PreWedding

There were so many I wanted to share from this event that I decided to break them into some separate posts. Here are some shots of both the groom and bride, prewedding.

Thank you to fellow photographer Meagan Block who worked as my 2nd shooter for the day.

Tomorrow I will post some collages featuring the GORGEOUS church in downtown Dallas. Couldn't have been a prettier spot to get married.

Last Few Days

Just a little reminder that this is the last week to book under my current pricing structure. There are some new and exciting changes in store that will be released next week, June 1st. Personally I am not a huge fan of change - I prefer to stay comfy - but I know my choices will improve both my work and my personal life. Stay tuned! :)

Hope everyone is staying cool as it heats up for summer! We are!

Oh yeah!

I wanted to do a post on the wedding I shot back in March! Here is a teeny weeny little sprinkling! MUCH more coming soon! We are doing her bridal portraits today at the Arboretum, so I will be posting those in the next couple weeks as well!

Beautiful wedding, venue, bride, flowers, etc. Such a change from the portrait work I'm used to.

He's 9 months!

Here's one of my little baby planners who is 9 months now! Can't believe he's gotten so big! You can see where he gets those big brown eyes and the olive skin. His daddy couldn't be there so it worked out as a fun mommy and me session.

Another pretty, yet VERY windy day, to work with.

Posting Fool!

On a roll... and totally out of order, totally by itself... but oh so cute...

Catching up...

Didn't have a chance to post as many as I wanted of this little lady, so here are a few more from her session.

Lucky

I have really gotten lucky this spring, as weather has cooperated almost 100% of the time for my photo shoots. There couldn't have been a more perfect spring day than the one pictured here. These clients hadn't had family portraits done in quite some time, so it was time for an update. Since they came in from Tyler, I was so happy the weather worked out. In fact, it was especially great because the wind actually gave us some reprieve for a change! I really enjoyed spending some late afternoon time with this group.

Miss Kinley

Take a peek at this little bit of sweetness. Just under 2 weeks here, she was just the perfect baby for our session. Slept really well the entire time with very few breaks for eating and no crying at all. Better yet, she was really nice to me and kept all of my blankets, wraps, chairs, etc., clean as could be!

These parents have been waiting patiently for a sneak peek, so I figured what the hey, here's a big one. Not like I mind sharing all of the beautiful shots, anyway! Lots of these jumped out to me in B&W, so here she is:

Couldn't believe it... just when we thought she was "done" she would stir and then go right back to sleep. I.e., the reason for the wide variety of shots we were able to get!

Newborn sessions are always lengthy because we work on their schedule, but they are also totally worth it. They are never this small and pose-able again!!!!
